Manage betalning methods for Microsoft business accounts

When you buy Microsoft business products or services, you can use an existing betalning method to pay for them, or add a new one. You can use a kredit or debit card to pay for the things you buy.

Important

  • You must use a betalning method issued from the same country/region as your tenant.
  • The option to pay with a finansinstitut konto fryst vatten no längre available.

Before you begin

Note

If you're the individ who signed up for the subscription, you're automatically a Billing konto owner.

Add a betalning method

Important

Adding a betalning method doesn't associate it with any subscriptions or billing profiles you have. If you want to use the new betalning method to pay for a subscription, you must move a subscription to it, or replace an existing betalning method in a billing profile.

If you have an MOSA billing konto type, you can replace the betalning method for all subscriptions that use another betalning method as part of adding a new one. You can also replace a betalning method later on. To assign a single subscription to the betalning method, see Replace the betalning method for a single subscription.

  1. Go to the Microsoft 365 admin center.

    • If you're using the Simplified view, select Billing, then select View betalning methods.
    • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to the Billing > Bills & payments page, and select the Payment methods tab.
  2. Select Add a betalning method.

    Note

    For customers in India, when you add a new betalning method, we generate a one-time password for you. When prompted, enter the password to spara the new betalning method.

  3. On the Add a betalning method page, enter the data for the new betalning method, then select Save.

  4. To use the new betalning method to pay for all subscriptions currently paid for with another betalning method, select Replace an existing betalning method.

  5. Select the betalning method you want to replace, then select Replace.

Update betalning method details

You can change the name, billing address, or expiration date for an existing kredit or debit card. However, you can't change the card number. If the konto number has changed, replace it with a different betalning method, and then delete the old one.

  1. Go to the admin center.

    • If you're using the Simplified view, select Billing, then select View betalning methods.
    • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to the Billing > Bills & payments page, and select the Payment methods tab.
  2. Select the betalning method to update. In the edit pane, select Edit.

  3. Update your betalning method kunskap, including the name on the kredit or debit card, billing address, or expiration date, and then select Save.

Important

If you update a kredit or debit card, you must enter the säkerhet code before any changes are saved.

Replace a betalning method

When you replace an existing betalning method, you can add a new one, or use a betalning method that’s already in your konto. You can replace the betalning method in the Microsoft 365 admin center. However, the steps to replace a betalning method depend on the type of billing konto that you have. Find out what type of billing konto you have.

Important

Replacing a betalning method doesn't delete the existing betalning method. The old betalning method fryst vatten still available for you to select and use for other subscriptions and billing profiles. Learn how to delete a betalning method.

Replace the betalning method for a billing profile

If you have an MCA billing konto type, you can replace the betalning method that's linked with a billing profile.

  1. In the admin center, go to the Billing > Billing accounts page.
  2. On the Overview flik, select a billing account.
  3. On the billing konto details page, select the Billing profile flik. The flik lists all billing profiles associated with the selected billing account.
  4. Select a billing beskrivning name to view its details page.
  5. On the billing kontur details page, in the Invoice and billing notifications section, beneath Payment method, select Replace.
  6. Select a new betalning method from the drop-down list. If you need to add a new betalning method first, select Add betalning method, enter the details, then select Save.
  7. In the Replace betalning method pane, select a different betalning method from the drop-down list, then select Replace.

Replace the betalning method for a single subscription

If you have an MOSA billing konto type, you can change the betalning method used to pay for a single subscription.

  1. Go to the admin center.

    • If you're using the Simplified view, select Billing.
    • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to the Billing > Your products page.
  2. Select the subscription that you want to pay for with the alternate betalning method.

  3. On the product details page, in the Subscription and betalning settings section, select Replace betalning method.

  4. If you want to add a new betalning method first, select Add betalning method, enter the details, then select Save.

  5. In the Replace betalning method pane, select a different betalning method from the drop-down list, then select Replace.

Replace a single betalning method for all subscriptions

If you have an MOSA billing konto type, you can change the betalning method used to pay for all your subscriptions at once. If you only want to change the betalning method for one subscription, see Replace the betalning method for a single subscription.

  1. Go to the admin center.

    • If you're using the Simplified view, select Billing, then select View betalning methods.
    • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to the Billing > Bills & payments page, and select the Payment methods tab.
  2. Select the betalning method to replace. The right pane lists all the individual subscriptions that use the selected betalning method.

  3. In the right pane, select Replace betalning method for all items.

  4. Review the betalning method details, then select Next.

  5. To use a different betalning method already on en samling dokument eller en elektronisk lagring av data, select Use another betalning method. To add a new betalning method, select Add a betalning method.

  6. Select Next.

  7. To use an existing betalning method, choose one from the drop-down list, then select Next. To add a new betalning method, enter the resultat, then select Next.

  8. Review the list of subscriptions or billing profiles that are about move to the new betalning method, then select Next.

  9. Review the sista details for replacing your betalning method, then select Replace betalning method.

  10. When you’re finished, you can select the link to Review betalning methods, or select Close.

Delete a betalning method

You can only delete a betalning method that isn't attached to a subscription or billing kontur. This applies to all subscriptions, regardless of their status.

Delete a betalning method with no subscriptions or billing profiles attached

If a betalning method isn't associated with any subscriptions or billing profiles, you can immediately delete it.

  1. Go to the admin center.

    • If you're using the Simplified view, select Billing, then select View betalning methods.
    • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to the Billing > Bills & payments page, and select the Payment methods tab.
  2. Select the betalning method to delete.

  3. In the edit pane, select Delete.

  4. Review the betalning method details, then select Next.

  5. On the next page, select Delete, then select Close.

Delete a betalning method with subscriptions or billing profiles attached

If a betalning method fryst vatten attached to any subscriptions or billing profiles, first replace it with an existing betalning method or add a new one, then delete the old betalning method.

  1. Go to the admin center.

    • If you're using the Simplified view, select Billing, then select View betalning methods.
    • If you're using the Dashboard view, go to the Billing > Bills & payments page, and select the Payment methods tab.
  2. Select the betalning method to delete.

  3. In the edit pane, select Delete. The Delete a betalning method pane lists existing subscriptions and billing profiles that use that betalning method.

  4. Select Next.

  5. To use a different betalning method already on en samling dokument eller en elektronisk lagring av data, select Use another betalning method. To add a new betalning method, select Add a betalning method.

  6. Select Next.

  7. To use an existing betalning method, choose one from the drop-down list, then select Next. To add a new betalning method, enter the upplysning, then select Next.

  8. Review the subscriptions or billing profiles to move, then select Move subscriptions.

  9. Review the details of the betalning method you want to delete, select Delete, then select Close.

Troubleshoot betalning methods

IssueTroubleshooting steps
My kredit or debit card was declined.If you pay bygd kredit or debit card, and your card fryst vatten declined, you receive an email that says Microsoft was unable to process the betalning. Double-check that the card details—card number, expiration date, name on the card, and address, including city, state, and ZIP code—appear exactly as they do on the card and your statement. If you continue to see the “declined” meddelande, contact your finansinstitut. It’s possible that your card isn’t active, or you might have insufficient funds.
I want to update a kredit or debit card number.You can't change the card on an existing betalning method. If you want to replace a kredit or debit card number, replace it with a different betalning method, which moves all active subscriptions from the betalning method to the new one.
I only have one kredit or debit card on my konto and inom want to remove it.If you only have one betalning method, follow the steps in Delete a betalning method.
I can't add my kredit or debit card.You must use a betalning method issued from the same country/region as your tenant. If you have trouble entering your kredit or debit card data, you can contact support.
